Playmakers Elite Athletic Training, Inc is a youth sports fitness and training organization for boys and girls ages five (5) to eighteen (18).

The goal of the Playmakers organization is to help all youth athletes maximize their skills thus enabling them to perform at a higher level. The organization strives to meet this goal thru their various specialized programs that are designed to teach, encourage, train, build and develop the young body and mind.

The Playmakers staff consists of certified trainers, high school and semi-pro coaches, and college athletes.

Explosive Movement

Training focuses on:
Agility … quick backward, forward and lateral movements and hand and eye coordination
Endurance … propel conditioning to higher levels through high intensity repetitious controlled movements
Power … boost explosive strength by utilizing proper foot placement and stride frequency combined with forceful striking combinations
Core Strength … total body workouts, applicable weight lifting and training exercises that builds muscles that are essential to all athletic movements
Position Skills … All skill levels for the following sports
  1. Football – enhance basic fundamental skills including passing, rushing, receiving, blocking and safety rules
  2. Basketball - learn skills and techniques including shooting, dribbling, passing and other basic fundamentals
  3. Cheerleading - skills taught include motions, tumbling, jumps, dance, chants and cheers

A session is ninety (90) minutes
Forty five (45) minutes … endurance, power and core strength
Forty five (45) minutes … position skills or agility training

7V7 (Football)

7V7 is non tackle (flag) football played by middle and high school students that give them the opportunity to "showcase" their talent to middle and high school coaches and college coaches and recruiters, while participating in IMG, NFA and DMV sanctioned tournaments.

The Playmakers program concentrates on developing specific position techniques and basic fundamentals that will enable the athlete to obtain next level skills utilizing their innate athleticism and talent.

Personal Training

Individualized position specific training adapted for all sports, skill levels and abilities, self paced and designed to enhance the athlete's performance.

Training Sessions:

Make up for missed session(s) must be scheduled forty eight(48) hours before the scheduled session.
 

Coach's Clinic

This clinic is for youth sports coaches and will consist of discussions and training provided by Red Cross instructors and media presentations. The clinic will provide the attendees with CPR training and certification and Concussion symptoms, treatment and certification.

Football Camps

The camps are designed to help the campers improve their football skills and the development of safe playing habits. Working with other campers, the meaning of teamwork and sportsmanship will be stressed as important athletic values.

The camp staff will be giving instructions in basic football skills such as: blocking, tackling, running and other football related skills adapted to benefit all skill sets and experience levels. Daily sessions will include drills to help correct faults and upgrade skill levels.

Rules:

Campers will not be permitted to leave the school campus during the session, unless released to a parent/guardian and signed out in the presence of the camp director. Use of tobacco products, illegal drugs and/or alcoholic beverages will result in dismissal from camp.

 

Playmakers Elite Youth Football

Playmakers Elite Youth Football is an inclusive program developed to foster a confidence and sense of self-worth in all players that extend beyond the gridiron and into the school, family and community. Playmakers believe that belonging to a team, enjoying friendships and having responsibility is important to every child. Participating in a sport not only improves their skills physically, but socially and emotionally. Youth are given the opportunity to transform their abilities into achievements. While building a network of friends, support, and trust.

Practice:

Pre-season practice usually starts the 4th Monday in July, length can be on a daily basis until Labor Day, but must not exceed 10 hours per week, and two and a half (2.5) hours in duration per day. A mandatory 10-minute break ("Mandatory Break") after each hour of practice is required. After Labor Day, all practices may not exceed a maximum of eight (8) hours per week, with a maximum of two and a half (2.5) hours per day. Mandatory Breaks are still required. All players, regardless of when they join the team, must have at least one week of conditioning (at least 10 hours) before they are allowed to engage in regular practice sessions. Conditioning is defined as basic warm-up exercises; conditioning for jumps & tumbling (not tumbling), arm motion drills; and; learning of cheers or chants.

Playmakers Elite Youth Cheerleaders

Team Name - PEAT Bears

Playmakers Elite Youth Cheerleaders are members of the American Youth Cheer, hereafter known as AYC, an all-inclusive youth cheerleading, dance and step League. AYC allows local autonomy except to the extent that basic safety rules must be followed. It is required that AYC Leagues follow, at minimum, the safety rules of United States All Star Federation, including prohibitions against the use of trampolines, springboards, and over two-high stunts and pyramids PEAT is committed to creating a positive competitive environment, where your cheerleader can highlight and develop her skills, while learning side line Cheers, chants, tumbling, Jumps, dance routines and participating in AYC sanctioned local, regional and national championships and competitions. The program also provides access to year round camps and clinics. The cheer season coincides with the football season which is the 4th Monday of July through the National Championship in December.
